Those were the words we posted on Facebook on the day we left the Netherlands in July 2024. Looking back, they describe our journey perfectly.
We are Marcel, Tamara and our son Mikay, a Dutch family who decided to start a new chapter in Andalusia.
Long before we moved to Spain, we dreamed of creating a place where people could truly relax and enjoy everything this beautiful region has to offer. We already knew we wanted to start a holiday rental one day but first, we promised ourselves the summer holiday and three months without plans. Moving to another country is a big step, and we wanted to give ourselves time to settle into our new life.
That promise lasted exactly two months.
When we came across this property, we instantly knew it was the place we had been looking for. We simply couldn't let it go.
One thing you should know about us is that we genuinely love renovating. We enjoy seeing the potential in a place and turning it into something warm, welcoming and full of character. Creating beautiful spaces together is something we've always enjoyed, and Cuevas Vive el Sueño became the perfect project for us.
